E-Bike Rental Terms & Conditions

Terms and Conditions
All rentals are subject to availability
Security
Renter hereby permits Easy Motion to take a security deposit of €500 for residents or €800 for visitors, along with a copy of renter’s passport, driver’s license and credit (Not Debit) card for the duration of the rental, and until the electric bicycle has been deemed to be returned in satisfactory condition. Easy Motion shall determine, in its sole discretion, if the electric bicycle is of “satisfactory condition”.
Assumption of Risk
Renter acknowledges that the activities for which the electric bicycle is designed include inherent dangers, including the risk of bodily injury and/or death. Renter assumes and accepts all risks associated with the use of the electric bicycle.
Acceptable Use
Renter agrees and acknowledges that he/she will be the sole operator of the electric bicycle, and will use the electric bicycle in a careful, safe and conscientious manner. Renter shall at all times observe and adhere to any rules and guidelines posted by Easy Motion and any applicable laws or regulations.
Unsafe Use
If at any time Easy Motion determines that the Renter has engaged in an unsafe or hazardous use of the electric bicycle, Easy Motion may immediately terminate the rental. Upon termination the electric bicycle must be returned to Easy Motion’s company address. If the rental is terminated for unsafe or hazardous use the renter will not be refunded the security deposit. Easy Motion shall determine, in its sole discretion, whether any behaviour or activity is “unsafe or hazardous”
Condition of Electric Bicycle Upon Return
Renter shall return the electric bicycle to Easy Motion clean and in the same condition as it was received by the renter, excepting normal wear & tear. Renter shall be responsible for maintenance of the electric bike and any damage caused to the bicycle during the rental period. Easy Motion shall retain any portion (or all) of the renter’s security deposit as necessary to cover repairs for such damages. In the event that the damages exceed the value of the security deposit, the renter will either be billed or have the credit/debit card provided charged directly for the repairs, including reasonable attorney’s fees.
Late Returns
Easy Motion reserves the right to forfeit the renter’s security deposit in the event of a late return, under a reasonable time-frame.
Loss/Theft
In the event of loss or theft of an e-bike, the renter shall report this to the Gardaí and provide Easy Motion with a copy of the report. The renter will be charged for the full value of the e-bike in the event of such an occurrence less their security deposit, which will be retained.
